Traditional weaving continues to evolve with new materials, colors and patterns. Since 1975 Ewe weaver Bobbo Ahiagble has combined weaving demonstration tours abroad with life as a master weaver and teacher in Ghana. His works find both local and foreign clients.
In this large wrapper, Bobbo combines several design motifs that he has used earlier in other cloths. The wrapper has a tight plain-weave background with supplementary weft motifs such as stools, umbrellas, stripes and textured squares.
