The National Museum of African Art’s inaugural African Art Awards dinner is this Friday, October 28 at the historic Arts and Industries Building in Washington DC. The evening will honor the very best of contemporary African art and philanthropy. The 2016 honorees are renowned African artist Yinka Shonibare MBE, rising star of the contemporary African art world Ato Malinda and the Ford Foundation.
