In honor of Women’s History Month, the National Museum of African Art will celebrate one of history’s most incredible women and rulers of ancient Egypt, Hatshepsut—and strong women everywhere! Award-winning actor, writer, director, producer, and designer Esosa E. will perform her one-women show “The Woman Who Would Be King” (produced by Esosa E., Mansa Colabs, and Roselynn Lewis). Then, create hieroglyphic-inspired jewelry with artist Lucy Dirksen, explore a mini-garden of Nile River plants, celebrate the history of Egyptian makeup with master face-creator Mia Leslie, and snack on light refreshments from Aida Mady.
