The evening will begin with a docent-led tour of the museum’s exhibitions to get to know the collections. Then, watch as Hanah and Natty visit historical sites, meet extended family for the first time, and attempt to discover a missing piece of their identity. Finally, film producer Tomas Kanene, members of sponsoring group MidTown416, and elders from the Ethiopian community will share lessons learned and thoughts on cultural heritage preservation!
Part of a regular Heritage Talk series, this screening and discussion will allow the museum to hear directly from one of its most important audiences: D.C.’s local African diaspora community. Make your voice heard!
Free and open to the public
