Get inspired as you explore the intersection of art and technology! Our STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) day kicks off with an opportunity for teens to talk to experts in STEAM fields and with peers from the Caribbean, southern Africa, western Africa, and right here in Washington, D.C. Then, a live DJ spins while students from around the world compete in challenges highlighting the arts and cultures of Africa and major technological contributions from members of the African diaspora. You could even win prizes!

Presented in collaboration with Ateya Ball-Lacy, creator and founder of HoodSmart: The Urban STEMulus Project, and D.C.-area African diaspora youth.
