In this documentary, Germaine Acogny, a leading figure in contemporary African dance, invites 35 choreographers and musicians of African origin to the École des Sables in Senegal for an inaugural dance project. This leads to an exceptional exchange and desire for sharing as unique personal trajectories meet and reunite within a collective history (Senegal, 2013, 51 min., in English and French with English subtitles).[hr]something necessarySomething Necessary Directed by Judy Kibinge
Something Necessary follows Anne as she struggles to rebuild her life and her farm after the civil unrest that swept Kenya during its 2008 elections.
