On Thursday, May 14, the National Museum of African Art welcomed visitors from Rome, Italy. The group joined by art benefactors, toured the museum’s latest exhibition “The Divine Comedy: Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell Revisited by Contemporary African Artists”. During the visit the group had a behind – the – scenes tour of the museum’s conservation lab which was led by chief conservator Steve Mellor and senior conservator Dana Moffett.
